Caps Radio Network: Super Sized for the postseason
Posted on May 01, 2012
It's been quite a week of expansion for the Capitals Radio Network. As Washington continues its march into May, we've added several stations out of town to our network family. Some of them are not even in the United States. It was a real treat to have three different Canadian cities join us for Game 2 on Monday night. The Team 1200 in Ottawa, The Fan 960 in Calgary and TSN 1290 in Winnipeg carried our feed of Game 2 against the Rangers, and will continue to carry the series north of the border.
To the south, we'll add another station for Wednesday's Game 3. ESPN 97.5 in Beaumont, Texas, a station that has 100,000 watts of power behind it, will carry the series against the Rangers moving forward. The station is heard in Houston, a good chunk of Louisiana, and well out into the Gulf of Mexico. If you happen to be out and about on the water in the Gulf, give it a shot. Even fishing trawlers might be rocking the Red this series.
As the series returns to Washington this week, we'll also be available on Sirius/XM for the next two games. Sirius 207 and XM 92 will carry us from the home radio booth at Verizon Center for Game 3 and also Game 4. As always, you can listen online at WashingtonCaps.com, via the Caps Moblie App, and on Tune In Radio by clicking WFED 1500. Many network affiliates, including in Martinsburg, WV, Charlottesville, VA, Norfolk, VA, Baltimore and Richmond will be carrying Game 4 this Saturday. Many stations are carrying the whole series with the Rangers too.
If you're on the go, take us with you. Don't miss a minute of the action as the Capitals look to vanquish the Rangers.
