The Capitals picked up a point at Prudential Center Friday night, but ultimately fell to New Jersey 3-2 in overtime. Ilya Kovalchuk scored the overtime game-winner in the final minute of sudden death, pushing the Devils to a perfect 3-0-0 mark. Washington falls to 0-3-1, with a home game against Buffalo looming Sunday afternoon.
It may not have ended well, but there were some exciting third period moments for Washington.
