Your Capitals Minute for Friday, September 13

Posted on September 13, 2013 by John Walton

The Capitals hit the ice for the second day of training camp Friday, one day before kicking off the exhibition season Saturday in Belleville, Ontario. Washington will face the Winnipeg Jets Saturday night at Yardmen Arena at 7:00 p.m., but it's uncertain if Brooks Laich will be among the participants. Laich suffered a left hip flexor tweak at practice on Thursday, with his status heading into the weekend listed as day-to-day.

Here is today's Capitals Minute, as we hear from Brooks on the injury. You can listen to the preseason opener Saturday night via the Caps Mobile App, WashingtonCaps.com, or FederalNewsRadio.com beginning at 7:00. I'll have the call of the game, with Mike Vogel dropping wisdom from the color analyst chair.
