About Last Night: Caps fall to Leafs in Toronto Thursday

Posted on February 01, 2013 by John Walton

From Toronto, your About Last Night game highlights start well, but don't finish with the same good feelings. Joel Ward scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season early, and Alex Ovechkin picked up his second lamp-lighter of the season early in the second. But the Leafs would rally and leave Washington with another tough third period loss. After Thursday's 3-2 loss at Air Canada Centre, the Capitals return home to face the Philadelphia Flyers at Verizon Center Friday, kicking off a three-game homestand that will see Pittsburgh come to call Sunday. Washington will have a chance at revenge against Toronto Tuesday when the Maple Leafs come to the District.

If you missed the highlights from Thursday, have a listen below to what it sounded like from Toronto.
