About Last Night: Caps fall to Toronto 3-2

Posted on February 06, 2013 by John Walton

Small mistakes were magnified Tuesday night, as Washington fell to Toronto 3-2 at Verizon Center. A miscommunication between Tom Poti and Michal Neuvirth. A goal squeaking past Neuvirth in the third period from rookie Korbinian Holzer proved to be the game-winner. But it was a good night for Tomas Kundratek, who picked up his first NHL point. Marcus Johansson notched his first goal of the season, and Mike Ribeiro kept his season rolling along with another goal. In the end, the Capitals were close but not close enough. If you missed the radio broadcast last night, here's the game highlights in just three minutes.
