Capitals win 4-2 over Tampa Bay Sunday night

The Capitals took a 3-2 lead into the third period Sunday night at Verizon Center, looking to finish a strong weekend with authority. They did just that. Alex Ovechkin clinched victory with an empty net goal late, and Michal Neuvirth did the rest. Listen to Ovechkin's fifth goal on the weekend here, and the final moments, as the Capitals increase its lead in the Southeast Division to two points with a game in hand on second place Winnipeg. The goal for Ovechkin late vaults him into a tie for the NHL goal scoring lead.
