The Capitals are the 2012-13 Southeast Division champions, taking down the Winnipeg Jets at Verizon Center by a final score of 5-3.

Washington has clinched home ice in the first round of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs, and will take on the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals next week in Game 1. The schedule for the postseason will be announced after the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday.

From the bottom of the NHL in February, to a division title in April. It's been quite a journey already. Hopefully it's just the beginning.

Listen to the final moments here. Good morning, good afternoon, and good night Winnipeg. And good night to the Southeast Division as well. The Capitals are Southeast champs for the final time.
