Catching up with Adam Oates, as Caps invade Pittsburgh

Posted on February 07, 2013

My daily interview with head coach Adam Oates is ready to roll, as the Capitals look to build on recent history in the city of Pittsburgh. Washington is 9-0-1 in its last 10 games in Steel City, dating back to 2007. But the Penguins have won four straight heading into Thursday's tilt, including a 6-3 win over the Caps at Verizon Center this past Sunday. My chat with the coach today discusses minimizing mistakes, the play of Tomas Kundratek and Marcus Johansson Tuesday night, and more. Michal Neuvirth draws the start, his seventh in the last nine games.

On the radio side, the game can be heard on both 106.7 The Fan and 1500 AM in the DMV tonight. WNOS-AM 1450 in New Bern, NC, and WRNR-AM 740/FM 106.5 carry tonight's game on the Capitals Radio Network, as well as CBS Sports Radio 1300/FM 97.5 in Baltimore. If you're outside the D.C. Metro, the game can also be seen this evening on NHL Network.
