Catching up with Jay Beagle, as the Caps conclude road trip in New York

Much like the rest of the Washington Capitals, Jay Beagle enjoyed his trip to Winnipeg this week. Beagle picked up a goal Friday in the team's 6-1 win over the Jets, as the Caps pulled within five points of the top spot in the Southeast Division. The work on the road trip isn't complete, however, as Washington visits the New York Rangers tonight at Madison Square Garden. It's the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams, and the Capitals are in search of win number one against the Blueshirts after two regulation losses. A win Sunday could set the stage for more upward mobility in the Eastern Conference for Adam Oates and company, as the New York Islanders come to the District Tuesday night.

I caught up with Jay in the locker room this morning at MSG. The interview is below.
