More good news on the radio in BaltimorePosted on January 25, 2013
A couple of weeks ago, we told you in this space about the latest addition to the Capitals Radio Network in Baltimore. WJZ-AM 1300, better known as CBS Sports Radio 1300, will officially come into the family Friday with our game at New Jersey against the Devils. But I’m happy to say they’re not coming alone up in Charm City. HFS at 97.5 FM, which serves Baltimore City and Baltimore County on the FM dial, will also be picking up the majority of games the rest of the season. The addition of FM in Baltimore means that Capitals games can now be heard on FM in Washington, Baltimore, and Norfolk. We now also have grown to 13 stations, ranging across the eastern seaboard from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.
But on this day, we’re especially happy for our fans in Baltimore. On AM and FM, we’ve got you covered. Thanks to Bob Philips, and the crew at CBS Baltimore for welcoming us with open arms. If you’re a fan of the coverage, let Bob and his folks know about it.
Airtime Friday in Baltimore, and along the rest of the Capitals Radio Network, is 6:45 p.m. from Newark.
